Select a mode to start the game 

Use WASD to move around the field until you encounter an enemy.  Press ENTER to select a move to use against the enemy.  Repeat this until the enemy has been defeated and you gain experience.  Experience raises your level and raising your level raises your stats.  Once they are high enough, press P to fight the final boss.

Mode 1: functions like a traditional turn-based RPG

Mode 2: automates the open world part of the game so that the player can focus solely on combat

Mode 3: automates combat so that the player can focus on moving across the field

Mode 4: automates both aspects of the game, but the player must press a button after every fight

Mode 5: automates both aspects of the game and just requires the player to press P to fight the final boss
